Clean Vapor Welcomes Matt Koch, as Project Manager for New Atlanta Office

Matt will be helping to grow the Southeast market from Clean Vapor’s new office in the Atlanta metro area.

Clean Vapor welcomes Matt Koch as the Project Manager for its recently established Atlanta metro office. Matt has worked in the mitigation industry since 2008 and has performed thousands of single-family, multi-family, and commercial building mitigations throughout the Southeast. He is regularly sought out as a speaker for local and national conferences.  Matt will be focused on developing the heart of the Southeast market to include Georgia, Alabama, Florida, and Tennessee while maintaining a strong presence in and around Atlanta.

“Clean Vapor is a growing and dynamic company; that is where I feel most comfortable,” says Koch. “I want to help Clean Vapor become the national and international leader in soil gas mitigation, even as we grow our market share in the Southeast from our new office in Atlanta.”

“Atlanta is a key market for Clean Vapor, and Matt represents the type of person we like to bring into the company,” says Ryan Hatton, Director of Business Development. “Atlanta will be a key focal point for Clean Vapor over the next 3-5 years. We need an experienced leader like Matt to establish a foundational presence and implement the standard of excellence that Clean Vapor’s clients expect.”

Matt brings a new perspective to Clean Vapor and represents an opportunity for the company to expand offerings in the new construction commercial radon market. He has also started multiple radon and vapor intrusion mitigation companies with over a million dollars in sales. Matt says he looks forward to applying that experience and expertise to Clean Vapor’s mission.

Matt teaches entry-level certification classes for the National Radon Proficiency Program (NRPP) in radon measurement and mitigation. He leads advanced certification classes in radon measurement and mitigation in multi-family structures, as well as courses in mitigation for schools and large buildings. Matt works with the EPA’s radon program as an instructor for Soil Gas System Design and Installation in New Construction of Large Buildings. He also holds numerous professional certifications.

Through his service on multiple committees, Matt has helped write the standards for designing and installing soil gas systems for residential and commercial structures related to radon. The result of his work, along with that of the committee, was the RRNC 2.0 Radon Resistant New Construction and Soil Gas Control Systems in New Construction of Buildings, more commonly referred to as the CC-1000.

Clean Vapor, The Vapor Intrusion Mitigation Company, was launched in 2007 by industry expert Tom Hatton as a total solution company providing building-specific diagnostics, designs, installation, and monitoring services. Vapor intrusion mitigation systems improve indoor air quality by preventing harmful soil gas vapors from entering the indoor environment. Clean Vapor has mitigated over 30 million square feet of industrial, residential, and retail space, and company leaders have contributed to a variety of state and federal vapor intrusion guidance documents.

Clean Vapor continues to provide vapor intrusion mitigation services for new construction and existing buildings. The company works with the nation’s largest engineering and environmental firms and several aerospace and DOD contractors.  Clean Vapor is headquartered in Blairstown, NJ, with offices in Charlotte, NC; Atlanta, GA; Chattanooga, TN; and Southern California.
